So I’m thinking about getting rid of my current gen BRZ and getting the new one. I’ve been planning this since it leaked online. Now that it’s announced I can go to the dealer.
Are there not foglights on the refresh?

But can you really handle the extra 5hp? You might need to get some racing lessons before you pull a Cars and Coffee Mustang exit. :D

No, I don’t think you can handle the extra 5hp. Doesn’t sound like much, but it can leave you in a ditch quick. TBH, it’s too much for the street.

There are fog lights in the refresh (35sec mark) , but I literally can’t tell the difference between the two. It is super subtle. Is there a reason you want to bail other than new/your accident?
I mean more power to you, but I’m curious.

I’ll just drive a little more careful until I get used to the extra power.

Well I was planning on keeping it for a long time before the accident.
The repair was handled horribly by Subaru. Should have been a write-off. I was without it for more than 3 months. I want the new one b/c I want to keep it. The new one also has quite a few changes which I’m really interested, trim, ratio, new media system (as in the new imprezas), wheels, screen in dash, etc, etc.
I guess you have to be a BRZ owner to notice, but there are many changes.
The added 5 torque and different ratio will get rid of my biggest problem with the car.

5hp? I hope it comes with black and red keys...

I’ll be honest it was more high level and the new Subaru infotainment center is 10000x better so I understand that. And the accident is a completely justifiable reason. I was just curious. Good luck! Can’t wait to see the new ride. Going to go with white again?

Probably going for white again, but if the performance pack is reasonably priced (which it won’t be) i’ll go black,

Here’s my question(s): can you outfit your car (and a reasonable cost) with the stuff the new car has? Do you really need the stuff the new car has? For instance, can you put fog lights on it? Do you really need fog lights?
Seems to me that losing a couple grand on the trade in and spending sticker price or more (it’s new, the fanboys will line up) for a car where you might or might not notice the difference isn’t the thing to do.
On the other hand, if I have my head up my ass, please advise.

I can outfit some of the stuff, but not for a reasonable price.
I have fog lights currently, it didn’t look like the new one did, but it does.
I won’t be losing any money. The dealer messed up and I’m trying to basically switch (it’s a lease) b/c they messed up. My family is a long time customer 50+ years. So we’ll see what happens.
Even if it comes out to be a couple grand difference, that’s easily worth it for me.

It does look nice in that colour. But I think it stands out too much/I’ll get bored of it after awhile. Blue is my fav colour though.

Hey - if you can justify it (and I’ve justified a lot of things with ... logic) then do what you want. Just guard your wallet.

Well, here is something I put together. (My OPPO debut)
